The DSD range of decking screws are designed with a self drilling screw point that bores into hardwood decking boards with ease, generally without the need for predrilling, saving time for the deck builder. (predrilling may be needed on deck board ends to avoid splitting the timber, recommend testing first). Manufactured from T316 grade Stainless Steel offering great corrosion protection in extreme outdoor conditions and the screw has a countersinking head with knurls to hold the decking board firm. DSD's come in 12gauge used for regular sized decking boards and outdoor construction and also heavy duty 14gauge in longer 75 & 100mm lengths for heavier timbers and boardwalk type boards. All DSD screws use a 6-star drive shape for a decorative finish.
- Quik Drive DSD decking screws are collated on a plastic strip that is specifically used in a PRO300 Quik Drive Cordless (and corded) drill driver tool system
- A 6-star T25 size driver bit is included in the box
- DSD decking screws are available in loose screws (driven in by a cordless drill driver) and in collated strips for the Quik Drive tool system
- A knurl or nib on the shank below the countersinking head allows for a clearance hole as the screw is installed, reducing driving torque and improving clamping force.
- Other screw sizes and pack sizes are available, all in high grade T316 Stainless Steel for extreme conditions, search for DSD
- Technical information is available in the 'supporting documents' section of the Trade Portal/App
