This chain saw is powered by two 18V LXT batteries for a total of 36V of power. Its high power efficiency is equivalent to a petrol chain saw. The Makita-built motor with variable speed, delivers 940FPM. Simply pick it up, load two 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries, and the saw is ready to use. The Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. The chainsaw includes Star Protection Computer Controls, a Makita-created tool for improving performance and battery life.
