The TR Series cartridge can be regenerated with brine water to extend the cartridge life. The cartridge removes tannin through the use of selective ion exchange resin. This cartridge is specifically designed to reduce tannin/organics only, so it is best used in conjunction with a two or three-stage filtration system such as the HYBRID-G13. A 5 micron sediment prefilter is required to avoid premature blocking of the TR Series cartridge. Additionally, carbon post-filtration is recommended to reduce taste and odour not caused by tannins. Intended for domestic rainwater applications only. Tannin issues from other source water should contact Puretec to obtain a suitable product recommendation.
