A weather-tight rigid air barrier for drained and vented cavity systems, this solution keeps your building frame dry, enabling fast close-in and an earlier interior finish, unhindered by conditions outside. Providing inherent structural bracing on timber-framed buildings, the Ecoply Barrier panels and sealing tapes can be exposed for up to 180 days ensuring your new build remains well protected from environmental damage.

James Hardie HomeRAB™ Pre-Cladding is a cost-effective pre-cladding system designed for use in all residential builds. Each green fibre cement panel has an integral water repellent sealer to keep moisture out, ensuring your build remains weather-tight, air-tight and structurally secure.

In addition to its unique structural bracing and fire resistance properties, James Hardie HomeRAB™ Pre-Cladding is suitable for the exterior of almost all residential buildings, including those in very high wind zones, ensuring your build remains well protected from the elements for up to 180 days pre-cladding.

A whole system solution which includes James Hardie tools, tapes, fixings and seals.

James Hardie RAB™ Board

James Hardie RAB™ board is a premium fibre-cement panel available in 6mm or 9mm widths with a proven track record of delivering the most advanced rigid building wrap technology for commercial and residential builds.

Featuring a built-in air and water-resistant barrier to keep moisture out while still allowing water vapour to escape, this green board also provides structural bracing, high wind defence and superior weather-tightness.

The board boasts an impressive 60 min fire resistance rating, is easy to install directly onto your framing and allows you 180 days exposure without warping or shrinking. Early close-in mean no unnecessary delays or re-scheduling, maximising your construction time.

GIB Weatherline®

Suitable for both residential and commercial buildings, the GIB Weatherline® rigid air barrier system is a cost effective, high performance wall underlay solution, providing a strong secondary line of defence against moisture penetration into the building envelope.

GIB Weatherline® also offers enhanced thermal efficiency, structural bracing and up to a 60 minute fire resistance rating.

GIB Weatherline® sheets can be exposed to weather for up to 180 days prior to cladding installation and can be easily cut and worked with on site with no harmful dust created.

IBS RigidRAP

IBS RigidRAP is an environmentally friendly rigid air barrier system with a dual layer micro-porous design using 8mm OSB boards laminated with an approved building paper/underlay.

Manufactured specifically for NZ, these sustainable boards are easy to cut, nail, screw or drill giving your new build rapid protection from the elements for up to 90 days pre-cladding. Used for internal or external wall bracing, the RigidRAP sheet is easy to install (one-man lift) ensuring construction times are maximised.

Note: Can be used with multiple tapes

IBS RigidRAP-XT

IBS RigidRap-XT offers all the benefits of RigidRap but with an R-value of 0.41 and an additional thermal break adhered to the 8mm laminated OSB .

This thermal break is made from graphite polystyrene board, specifically designed to prevent the conduction of heat between timber or steel framing and cladding. IBS RigidRap-XT is suitable for use as both an external bracing and thermal break when steel frames are in use.

If you are not building with steel frames, we would recommend using IBS RigidRAP.
