The Sellwood D30 is suitable for more frequent residential use for ceiling heights 2300mm to 3100mm, common in bungalow style homes built in the 1920s and 1930s. Given the height of the D30, Sellwood incorporated a second stage spring system to take the weight of the bottom two sections of the ladder as they are being unfolded and folded back up again, allowing for easier operation.
